  • East 50 Barber Shop is a men’s barber shop through and through. Our whole team is built around that classic, traditional barbershop experience, clean cuts, straight talk, and a place where guys can relax.

    We’re family-friendly and kids are welcome, but we do ask that they stay close and respectful of the space. This is an old-school shop, and the conversations can be grown-man talk at times, so keep that in mind when bringing in younger ones.

    At East 50, it’s not just about a haircut It’s about the environment, the crew, and the community.

  • Absolutely! walk-ins are welcome 7 days a week. Our chairs stay busy, though, so we always recommend booking an appointment to lock in your spot and avoid a wait.

    If you do walk in, kick back and enjoy the shop vibe. Say hello to the guys, meet the person next to you, and be part of the conversation. That’s what a real barbershop is all about.

  • We are a cash only business so please bring some with you.

  • When you book an appointment, our team does everything we can to stay on schedule and be ready for you. If we ever need to adjust or cancel an appointment, we’ll always give you at least 24 hours’ notice.

    If you’re coming in for a booked appointment, we recommend arriving 15–30 minutes early. Take a seat, enjoy the shop, and we’ll get you in the chair as soon as possible. Our barbers take pride in their craft, great cuts take time, and we never rush quality.

    If you miss an appointment without calling the shop, we may require a card on file for future bookings. Your time is valuable, and so is ours, so we appreciate everyone respecting the schedule.

    This is the place that will ruin your other barbershop experiences. What a great vibe that reminds you of a time where going to the barber is an experience not a chore. The staff and setting invite you to come a little early, find a beer in the fridge, a bag of chips and enjoy the conversation. No, you are not asked to come early. You want to come early just to say "what's up" and chill before your turn to be lined up by the best barbering crew in northern Nevada. Make the drive to Carson City from lake Tahoe, Reno or other northern Nevada areas, you wont be disappointed.

    I am an older guy, been to a lot of barbers/hair persons in my life. Moved to the area several years ago and after trying several barbers in town, had the great fortune to make an appointment at East 50 with Nate. Best barber I've ever had, no doubt. I also had the pleasure of getting a haircut from Jeremy. The shop is a really neat place - friendly and clean with lots of interesting vintage stuff. I highly recommend this place.

    Great atmosphere. Great conversations with all the barbers. They take care of all veterans and military. They do kids and men’s cuts very well. All there fades, shaves, and haircuts are amazing.

    I went in a few days before my wedding, and had a great experience with Edgar.

    He was polite, he was nice, and most importantly he took my vague instructions ("clean up beard lines" , "tight fade haircut"), and made me look so sharp my new wife couldn't stop talking about it for the whole day. And a couple times I said something like "what's your professional judgement" on how long to leave the beard, etc. And every decision he made worked out perfectly.

    I would like to say East 50 Barber Shop is one of my favorite barber shop i have personally been too. Not only i get treated with some of the nicest staff that treat me like family but i get some of the cleanest fade in town 🤙 definitely a place to come if you need a haircut!

    East 50 barber is always amazing. I have been in now a hand full of times and I am never disappointed. Jeremy and Nate do an amazing job and they make you feel like family. I have seen them on multiple occasions take working lunches and be on the feet most of the day just to make sure they are getting people the hair cuts they deserve. There a barber shop with an old time feel so if your easley offended you should find another barber. Keep up the good work boys.
